In this afternoon workshop, we will explore the art of cultivating plants from seed. Gradey will show some of the tricks of the trade from his work growing plants at the Medicine Garden nursery. We will cover the basics of saving and storing seed, tricks to help plant germination like cold stratification and scarification, and other ways of getting these baby plants off to the right start. Whether you want to invest in some basic equipment or pull things off on the cheap, this class will help get you started.
All participants will leave with seed trays all planted out as well as seed packets to get a head start on their medicinal garden!
Class held in SE Portland. Cost is $40 dollars, sliding scale available. Registration required by February 21.
