As part of the Medicine Garden’s Medicinal Marketplace, Gradey will be leading an educational tour of his impressive gardens, focusing on garden planning and design. Using the principles of ecology and permaculture in an established medicinal garden, we'll explore how we can create habitat so our plants will thrive. It's so much easier for gardeners to create the conditions the plants evolved in instead of micromanaging their existence. Learning to read the land and the plants provides a key to understanding how to work with the strengths of each unique plant.
Many medicinal plant starts will also be available for sale at this event. Visit Medicine Garden's event page to learn more.
This free class and plant sale will take place at 4906 SE 136th Ave. The sale runs from 10am-4pm on Sunday, April 14th. No need to register for the class — simply show up!
