Poplar Buds & Red Cedar: Winter Twigs

Don’t let the winter darkness keep you inside, especially since it’s an ideal time to work with a few of our premier medicinals! Plus, the plants are always available to reveal their stories if we have the right tools.

On this short day-hike with Gradey Proctor, we will learn to identify medicinal trees and shrubs by their twigs, check out the dead stems of last year’s flowering plants, and catch a few early bloomers too.  We will discuss botany, medicinal uses, ecology, and wildcrafting along the way. Come dressed for the weather; class will be held rain or shine.

Class cost is $35, sliding scale available. Registration required by January 26.
