In this afternoon workshop with Gradey Proctor, we will explore the art of cultivating plants from seed. Gradey will show some of the tricks of the trade from his work growing annuals and perennials at The Medicine Garden’s nursery. We will cover the basics of saving and storing seed, tricks to help plant germination like cold stratification and scarification, and other ways of getting these baby plants off to the right start.

Whether you want to begin your seed-growing journey by investing in deluxe equipment or by pulling things off on the cheap, this class will help get you started. All participants will leave with seed trays planted out to get a head start on their medicinal garden.

Class will be held in SE Portland. Cost is $40 dollars, sliding scale available.
