Join Gradey for a day in the forest exploring the world of mushrooms! We'll spend the first half of our outing discussing the ecological functions of fungi, learning useful identification tips, and delving into how to locate the right ecology for a successful hunt. On top of that, we'll cover some identification traits of the major groups of Oregon mushrooms. In the afternoon, participants will roam the hillsides seeking out edible and medicinal delights. If the weather works in our favor, we’ll have some tasty treats for everyone to bring home!
Carpool leaves from SE Portland. Class will take place rain or shine.
The cost is $65, sliding scale available. Registration required by October 1.
