This class will be an exploration of the unique ecosystems of meadows, both wet and dry. Gradey will discuss the ecology of different meadow landscapes and the unique variables that create these special habitats. Participants will meet a stunning array of rad plants that call these openings home. The class will also explore the threats that meadows face due to climate change and mismanagement. Along the way, we will talk about botany, herbalism, and wildcrafting.
Our carpool will leave from SE Portland. This class will happen rain or shine, so come dressed for the weather!
The cost is $60, sliding scale available. Registration required by June 10.
