Join Gradey for an afternoon of garden adventure with healing herbs. Through the story of eight plants, we will explore different aspects of medicinal gardening. Each plant will give us insight into the tools we need to have medicine grace our spaces. Topics we will explore include:
- Intro to garden design from a permaculture perspective
- Some basics on harvesting plants for better medicine and plant health
- Thinking about medicinal actions when selecting plants
- How we can create urban habitat in the process of cultivating medicinals
- What existing plants can tell us about place
- A brief tour of plant propagation
Class is held at In Tune Integrative Wellness at 2738 NE Broadway. Cost is $60. All participants will leave with plant starts or seeds from each of our 8 focus plants to continue this plant exploration at home.
